Live-out Housekeeper | South Kensington, LondonMonday - Friday | £50,000 Gross per annum | ASAP Interviews UHNW family in Kensington are looking for an experienced and highly professional Live-out Housekeeper to join their fully staffed family residence in SW7. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an established household team, working alongside four other full-time Housekeepers under the guidance of a hands on Head Housekeeper. The successful candidate will have exceptional housekeeping and laundry skills, a proactive attitude and a genuine passion for maintaining the highest standards within a luxury private residence. The property is a substantial family home comprising 8 en-suite bedrooms across 4 floors, together with formal and informal reception rooms, an office, cinema room, swimming pool, gym and spa. The household is fully staffed and runs to an exceptionally high standard, therefore applicants must be career Housekeepers who enjoy working collaboratively within a team whilst also using their own initiative.Duties will include:

  • Daily housekeeping to an impeccable standard throughout the residence
  • \n
  • Deep cleaning and seasonal housekeeping projects
  • \n
  • Exceptional laundry and wardrobe management
  • \n
  • Specialist garment care, including hand washing, delicate fabrics, pressing and ironing
  • \n
  • Bed making and ensuring all guest and family areas are beautifully presented
  • \n
  • Assisting with simple food preparation and light lunches
  • \n
  • Providing kitchen support and covering the Private Chef when required
  • \n
  • Assisting with informal service duties on occasion
  • \n
  • Caring for the family's dogs, including feeding and letting them into the garden when required
  • \n
  • Monitoring household supplies and ensuring housekeeping stores remain well organised
  • \n
  • Working proactively to anticipate the family's needs and consistently exceed expectations
  • \n

The Ideal Candidate:

    \n
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a luxury private household or five-star hospitality environment
  • \n
  • Outstanding housekeeping and laundry skills
  • \n
  • Highly experienced with luxury fabrics, fine linens and wardrobe care
  • \n
  • Immaculate attention to detail with exceptionally high standards
  • \n
  • Well organised, self-motivated and proactive
  • \n
  • Able to work discreetly and professionally within a busy family household
  • \n
  • A positive team player with excellent communication skills
  • \n
  • Fluent spoken English is essential
  • \n
  • Comfortable assisting with simple cooking and kitchen duties when required
  • \n
  • Previous silver service or hospitality experience would be advantageous
  • \n

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • \n
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm (depending on household requirements)
  • \n
  • Flexibility required to work occasional weekends for entertaining or family events
  • \n
  • During the family's summer travel (approximately two months), the role remains Monday to Friday, with the expectation that annual leave will be taken during part of this quieter period where possible
