The Opportunity
\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior commercial property solicitor to join a growing and ambitious business at Associate Director or Director level.
\nDue to increasing client demand and long-term growth plans, the firm is looking for an experienced commercial real estate lawyer to lead and develop its commercial property offering in Manchester.
\nThis is a genuine platform role with the opportunity to shape and grow a team, develop key client relationships and play a major part in the wider growth of the business, with full backing from a well-established professional services group and existing referral network.
\nDirector level within the business is comparable to Partner level within a more traditional law firm structure, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a senior leadership position with real autonomy and influence.
\nThe role would suit a commercially minded senior lawyer looking for more autonomy, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to build something long term.
\nThe Role
\nYou will play a key role in the development and leadership of the commercial property team, advising on a broad range of real estate matters while helping drive the growth of the practice.
\nWork will include:

- Acquisitions and disposals \n
- Landlord and tenant matters \n
- Commercial leases and licences \n
- Portfolio management \n
- Property finance transactions \n
- Real estate support on corporate transactions including M&A and demergers \n
You will also:
\n- \n
- Help shape the strategy and direction of the commercial property offering \n
- Develop and grow client relationships across existing and new business \n
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider business and professional network \n
- Mentor and support junior lawyers within the team \n
- Take an active role in business development, networking and profile-raising activities \n
Experience dealing with distressed real estate matters would be advantageous but is not essential.
\nRequirements
\n- \n
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales \n
- Around 8+ years’ PQE in commercial property \n
- Strong technical experience across a broad range of commercial real estate matters \n
- Experience supporting corporate transactions from a real estate perspective \n
- Background in property finance work would be beneficial \n
- Comfortable supervising junior lawyers and helping develop a team \n
- Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills \n
- Interest in business development and growing a practice \n
Experience within the healthcare or education sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
