Milton Keynes Full Time | Temporary £14.75 - £15.55 per hour Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Reed are working with a leading organisation in Milton Keynes who are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on an ongoing temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and confident Credit Controller to take ownership of outstanding accounts, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the effective management of debt recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively recover outstanding debt from dealer accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
\n
• Investigate and resolve account queries efficiently and professionally.
\n
• Escalate non-payment issues in line with company procedures.
\n
• Process credit notes and reissue invoices where required.
\n
• Attend regular meetings with management to review outstanding debt and collection activity.
\n
• Handle incoming calls relating to overdue accounts and payment queries.
\n
• Manage email correspondence through shared inboxes.
\n
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure account information is accurate and up to date.
\n
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies and procedures.
\n
• Ensure all documentation and records are accurately maintained and filed.
\n

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control position (essential).
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
\n
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
\n
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
\n
• A highly organised and proactive approach.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
\n
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
\n
• Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
\n
• A professional and customer-focused manner.
\n
