Credit Controller

Temporary Credit Controller - Colchester - £15-£18 per hour

Location: Colchester (Office-based - own transport required)Rate: Up to £18 per hourContract: Temporary (up to 3 months)Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pmYour new company A well-established organisation based in Colchester is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their high-performing finance team on a temporary basis. You will be working within a supportive and collaborative environment, reporting directly to the Financial Director.In your new role as Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Key duties will include:

• Chasing outstanding invoices via phone and email
\n
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
\n
• Building strong relationships with customers to resolve queries efficiently
\n
• Producing aged debt reports and providing updates to senior management
\n
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Proven experience in a Credit Controller or similar role
\n
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
\n
• Good Excel and system skills
\n
• Due to location, you must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
\n
