The Role You'll be responsible for building, integrating and testing complex optical, electro-mechanical and electronic systems that form the core of our clients products. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are assembled, tested and delivered to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: Building and testing complex optical, photonic, electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies Integrating critical modules into advanced semiconductor metrology systems Following and improving assembly, manufacturing and test procedures Diagnosing faults and supporting root cause investigations Driving manufacturing quality, reliability and process improvements Supporting new product introduction and development activities Maintaining high standards within laboratory and cleanroom environments Ensuring products are delivered to quality, cost and schedule targetsFor Senior Manufacturing Technicians, there will also be opportunities to mentor colleagues, lead problem-solving activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing function. About You We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience within: Semiconductor equipment Photonics Scientific instrumentation Aerospace Medical devices Precision engineering Other advanced technology manufacturing environmentsYou'll ideally have experience with: Building and testing complex, high-value technology products Optical systems, lasers, fibre optics or photonics equipment Electro-mechanical assembly and system integration Root cause analysis and structured problem solving Manufacturing quality systems and best practices Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation Working with precision mechanical and electronic components Low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments Desirable Experience Semiconductor manufacturing or equipment experience Cleanroom environments Optical alignment Laser-based systems IPC wiring and soldering standards Manufacturing engineering or process improvement activities Metrology, photonics or scientific instrumentation equipment Qualifications HND, Degree, Apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, Photonics or a related discipline.
