\nSalary: £115,000 - £135,000

\nAchieve Professionals are working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded London law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its growing Construction team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join a collaborative team advising developers, investors, landlords, contractors and consultants on a broad range of high-value construction and development projects. The team is recognised for its expertise in building safety and remediation work, offering exposure to complex and market-leading instructions.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the continued growth of the team, working closely with partners and colleagues across the wider Property practice while enjoying genuine opportunities for career progression.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Senior Associate, your responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Managing a varied caseload of non-contentious construction matters from instruction through to completion. \n
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of construction documentation, including:\n
- \n
- Construction contracts (JCT and NEC) \n
- Professional appointments \n
- Development agreements \n
- Construction aspects of Agreements for Lease \n
- Collateral warranties \n
- Parent company guarantees \n
- Performance bonds \n
\n - Advising clients on procurement strategies, contractual risk allocation and project delivery. \n
- Supporting commercial property and development transactions with specialist construction advice. \n
- Advising on building safety and remediation matters, including issues arising under the Building Safety Act. \n
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice. \n
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Property team and other practice areas. \n
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate. \n
- Actively contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the Construction practice. \n
- Managing matters efficiently, including time recording and billing in accordance with firm procedures. \n
- Keeping up to date with legal developments and maintaining continued professional development. \n
Requirements
\nThe successful candidate will have:
\n- \n
- Qualified Solicitor in England &Wales with significant experience (8years+ PQE) in non-contentious construction law. \n
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating construction documentation for commercial development projects. \n
- Strong knowledge of standard form construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC. \n
- Experience advising developers, landlords, investors, contractors and consultants. \n
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills. \n
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to advising clients. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines. \n
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. \n
- Experience supervising junior lawyers would be advantageous. \n
- A proactive approach to business development and networking. \n
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Building Safety Fund or Developer Remediation Contract would be beneficial, although not essential. \n
