About the Role
\n\nWe are seeking an ambitious and motivated Employment Solicitor (2–3 years PQE) to join a well-established and growing law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, handling a varied caseload while providing high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base.
\n\nThe successful candidate will advise both employers and employees on a broad range of employment law matters, delivering practical, commercially focused solutions and exceptional client service.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\n\nAdvise clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including:
\nRestrictive covenants
\nUnfair dismissal
\nDiscrimination
\nRedundancy
\nWhistleblowing
\nTUPE transfers
\n\nDraft, review and negotiate settlement agreements.
\n\nManage a varied caseload from initial instruction through to completion.
\n\nEnsure client matters are progressed efficiently while providing regular updates on progress and costs.
\n\nDeliver clear, commercially focused legal advice tailored to individual client needs.
\n\nMaintain the highest standards of client confidentiality and data security.
\n\nAchieve agreed financial targets, including fee income and chargeable hours.
\n\nWork closely with the firm's Credit Control team to support effective billing and debt management.
\n\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations.
\n\nKeep accurate case files and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
\n\nTake ownership of your professional development, maintaining compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Law Society continuing professional development requirements.
\n\nAbout You
\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n\nQualified Solicitor with 2–3 years' Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in Employment Law.
\n\nStrong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
\n\nExperience advising on settlement agreements.
\n\nExcellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
\n\nAbility to manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision.
\n\nStrong commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
\n\nExceptional client care and communication skills.
\n\nExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
\n\nA proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach.
