Job Description

Owen Daneils are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business, is currently looking to recruit a CNC Improver / Machining Operative to join their production team on a permanent basis.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing and machining experience who is looking to further develop their career within a busy engineering environment. The successful candidate will ideally have exposure to CNC machinery, with experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter/Operator, or Machining Operative, and be keen to build on their existing skills.Key Responsibilities:\n

  • Operating CNC machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • \n
  • Assisting with machine set-ups, tooling changes, and basic adjustments
  • \n
  • Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • \n
  • Carrying out quality checks using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
  • \n
  • Supporting the wider production team to ensure output targets and deadlines are achieved
  • \n
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping at all times
  • \n
  • Reporting any machine faults, quality issues, or production concerns to management
  • \n
  • Working closely with experienced machinists and supervisors to continue developing machining skills
  • \n
Candidate Requirements:\n
    \n
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
  • \n
  • Experience operating or working with CNC machinery
  • \n
  • Background as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Setter/Operator, Improver, or Machining Operative would be highly advantageous
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Experience using measuring equipment and carrying out quality inspections
  • \n
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • \n
  • Keen to learn, improve, and develop within a machining/engineering role
  • \n
  • Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • \n
