AP And Expense Manager

This is a 12-month contract, working remotely or hybrid from either Farnborough or Whiteley, you’ll be joining a collaborative finance function, reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, and supported by an experienced team.Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:\n

• Leading and motivating a remote AP and Expense team
\n
• Setting high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all AP and expense activities
\n
• Ensuring supplier payments and employee expenses are processed correctly and on time
\n
• Tracking, reporting, and resolving exceptions and errors
\n
• Driving improvements in UK P2P processes and maintaining up-to-date procedures
\n
• Overseeing invoice entry, audits, reconciliations, and supplier queries
\n
• Supporting month-end tasks and maintaining business confidentiality
\n

What you will need:\n

\n
• Previous experience in a similar finance or AP role (such as AP Manager, Accounts Payable Supervisor, Finance Operations Lead)
\n
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a remote team
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
\n
• Confident stakeholder and supplier engagement skills
\n
• Good understanding of VAT, tax document rules, and basic accounting principles (double entry, ledgers)
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting/analytic tools are desirable
\n
• An accounting qualification (part qualified or qualified by experience) is a plus
\n
