Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer

Location: ExeterSalary: £50,000 - £60,000

A growing engineering consultancy in Exeter is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial, residential and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a collaborative team, leading projects, mentoring junior engineers and delivering technically challenging geotechnical solutions.

• Deliver geotechnical design solutions for a wide range of projects.
\n
• Undertake foundation, retaining wall, slope stability and earthworks design.
\n
• Interpret ground investigation data and produce geotechnical design reports.
\n
• Carry out geotechnical calculations and numerical analysis.
\n
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
\n
• Manage projects from initial design through to completion.
\n
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
\n
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
\n
• Support business development and contribute to winning new work.
\n

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
\n
• Significant consultancy experience within geotechnical design.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and current UK design standards.
\n
• Experience designing foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
\n
• Proficient with geotechnical design software.
\n
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
\n
• Chartered status (or working towards Chartership) is desirable.
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n
