My client, a leading recycling and resource recovery company, are seeking a Head of Legal Services to oversee a diverse range of legal responsibilities, including contracts, disputes, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and more. This stand-alone role reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to shape the legal framework of a company that plays a crucial role in resource recovery and environmental services.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a varied caseload including contract reviews, disputes with customers and clients, and mergers and acquisitions.
\n
• Handle legal matters related to property, compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property.
\n
• Provide strategic legal advice and support to the senior management team.
\n
• Oversee and manage external legal resources and counsel as needed.
\n
• Prepare and review legal documentation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Proven experience as a sole in-house counsel, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or operational business.
\n
• Strong background in handling a wide range of legal issues including contracts, disputes, and compliance.
\n
• Excellent legal, analytical, and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage a comprehensive legal function.
\n
• Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice.
\n
