Financial Controller

Butler Rose is supporting an established international business who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead their UK finance function and play a key role in supporting both local and overseas leadership.

This is a broad, hands-on position suited to someone with strong controllership skills who enjoys combining technical finance, commercial insight and team leadership. You will take ownership of the financial reporting cycle, maintain a robust control environment and provide clear, meaningful analysis to support business decisions.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Leading month-end, year-end and statutory reporting
\n
• Maintaining strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
\n
• Providing costing, margin and performance analysis
\n
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
\n
• Working closely with operational and senior stakeholders
\n
• Managing and developing a finance team
\n
• Supporting Group reporting requirements to an overseas parent company
\n
• Improving finance processes, systems and reporting
\n

Person Specification:

\n
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant with 5+ PQE within fast paced environments
\n

\n
• Strong ERP system experience would be advantageous, particularly SAP.
\n

\n
• Experience working within an international business, given the overseas reporting structure.
\n

\n
• A background in manufacturing or engineering would be beneficial, although candidates from other sectors will be considered where they can demonstrate strong controllership and costing experience.
\n
