Your new companyA leading organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Operations Manager to join its procurement transformation team on an interim basis. Operating within a large and complex environment, you will play a key role in supporting procurement process improvements across multiple business units and stakeholder groups. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile change programme focused on enhancing operational efficiency, improving user adoption and supporting the delivery of long-term procurement objectives.
\nYour new roleAs Procurement Operations Manager, you will support the delivery of key Source-to-Pay (S2P) improvement initiatives, helping to optimise procurement processes, systems and ways of working. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify gaps, gather requirements and support the implementation of process and system enhancements.
\nThe role will involve analysing procurement data, identifying opportunities for improvement and working collaboratively with business units to drive better procurement outcomes. You will be responsible for developing training materials and user guidance, delivering training sessions and helping stakeholders adopt improved processes.
\nAlongside process improvement activities, you will support wider procurement operations initiatives, including catalogue management, supplier purchasing processes and related operational improvements. This position requires regular engagement with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, including facilitating discussions, presenting recommendations and influencing decision making through collaboration.
\nThis is a hands-on role that combines operational delivery, stakeholder management, process improvement and change support.
\nWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will have previous experience in Procurement Operations, Procurement Excellence, Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay or procurement transformation environment. You will possess a strong understanding of procurement processes and have experience supporting process improvement initiatives within complex organisations.
\nYou will be a confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of building effective relationships across a diverse stakeholder community. Experience of analysing and interpreting data to identify improvement opportunities is essential, alongside the ability to translate findings into practical solutions.
\nYou should be comfortable developing training materials, providing guidance to business users and supporting change initiatives. A proactive and self-motivated approach is important, as is the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Experience working with enterprise procurement systems and supporting procurement technology improvements will be highly advantageous.
