Location: Essex (Halstead Area)Salary: Up to £45,000 + Overtime (OTE £55,000)Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pmOvertime: Every other Saturday paid at 1.2x, occasional Sundays paid at 1.4xHoliday: 25 Days + Bank HolidaysPension: 3% Employee / 5% Employer
The Opportunity\nA well-established industrial manufacturing business is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical background who enjoys fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance within a heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial plant and machinery. \n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime. \n
- Maintain and overhaul equipment including drive shafts, bearings, sprockets, chains and gearboxes. \n
- Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves and hoses. \n
- Apply structured fault-finding techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and performance. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. \n

- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles. \n
- Experience maintaining industrial machinery and plant equipment. \n
- Proven fault-finding and repair experience. \n
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and associated components. \n
- Engineering qualification at Level 3 or equivalent (preferred). \n

- Understanding of industrial electrical systems. \n
- Experience working with three-phase motors and variable speed drives. \n
- Knowledge of industrial control systems. \n
- Understanding of safe isolation procedures. \n
- Basic electrical fault-finding capability. \n
