Payroll Clerk temporary to permanent

Location: Romford (Office-based)Pay: Up to £18 per hourContract: Temporary (up to 3 months) with strong potential to go permanentHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing (weekly and/or monthly)
\n
• Ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
\n
• Maintaining employee payroll records and processing updates
\n
• Handling statutory payments, deductions, and compliance checks
\n
• Responding to payroll-related queries in a helpful and timely manner
\n
• Supporting the wider finance team as needed
\n

• Previous payroll experience (essential)
\n
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
\n
• Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
\n
• A proactive and reliable approach
\n
• Confident communication skills with a team-focused mindset
\n
