Join the team as a Yard Operative, where you will work under the direction of the Foreman & Branch Manager to support the successful operation of the business. This role involves the delivery and collection of equipment to customer sites, ensuring efficient and safe operations. Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Be part of a small team ensuring the delivery and collection of equipment to and from customer sites or other branches.
\n
• Comply with the company’s Health and Safety procedures in all yard operations.
\n
• Report any matters affecting Health and Safety immediately to the Foreman & Branch Manager.
\n
• Deal courteously with customers, visitors, and drivers, ensuring they report to the branch office upon arrival.
\n
• Manage all deliveries and returns with accompanying paperwork.
\n
• Carry out loading and unloading instructions safely in line with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and the necessary Risk Assessments.
\n
• Check all equipment for quality and quantity on both returns and deliveries.
\n
• Assist the Yard Foreman in monitoring stock/fleet levels, notifying any discrepancies/shortfalls to Branch administration staff.
\n
• Conduct stock-takes in line with Company procedures.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Right to work in the UK (Note: We cannot sponsor this vacancy).

• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n
• Physically capable of managing manual tasks including loading and unloading equipment.
\n

Working Hours:

\n
• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
\n
• Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
