Management AccountantDorchester | Competitive Salary & BenefitsSheridan Maine is partnering with an innovative and growing business based in Dorchester to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to take ownership of key financial processes, provide valuable commercial insight, and support business decision-making within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.Working closely with senior finance stakeholders and wider business teams, you will play a key role in delivering accurate management reporting, driving financial performance analysis, and ensuring the smooth delivery of month-end and reporting activities.The RoleThis varied and rewarding position will see you responsible for a range of management accounting activities, including:\n

• Leading the month-end close process, including preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments and financial adjustments
\n
• Producing monthly management accounts, reporting packs and key performance indicators
\n
• Preparing insightful management information and supporting board-level reporting
\n
• Analysing financial performance, identifying trends, and providing commentary on key variances
\n
• Reviewing departmental budgets, forecasts and expenditure to support effective financial control
\n
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
\n
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
\n
• Providing meaningful analysis to help drive business performance and decision-making
\n
• Delivering ad hoc reporting and commercial analysis to support wider business initiatives
\n
• Working collaboratively across the finance function to improve processes and enhance reporting capabilities
\n

About YouWe are looking for an experienced Management Accountant who can demonstrate:\n

\n
• Qualified or newly qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or equivalent relevant experience)
\n
• Proven experience within a management accounting environment
\n
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, financial reporting and analysis
\n
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with complex financial data
\n
• Strong analytical ability with the confidence to interpret and communicate financial information
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
\n
• The ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
\n
