Yard Operative

Are you a hardworking and reliable Warehouse/Yard Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client who is looking to expand their busy team.

This is a varied, hands-on role that involves both forklift operation and manual yard duties. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
\n
• Accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders.
\n
• Assisting customers with collections in a friendly and professional manner.
\n
• Organising, moving, and maintaining stock within the yard.
\n
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
\n
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy, safe, and well organised.
\n
• Supporting the team with general yard and warehouse duties as required.
\n

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
\n
• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, builders' merchant, or similar environment.
\n
• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
\n
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
\n
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Good communication and customer service skills.
\n
• A reliable, punctual, and safety-focused approach to work.
\n
