Role Description

\n

I'm working with a well-established accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an Associate Accountant to join its growing team.

\n

Working alongside an experienced Relationship Manager, you'll support a varied portfolio of clients across all areas of general practice, including accounts, tax, payroll, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts, while building strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service.

What you'll do

\n
    \n
  • Prepare annual accounts, personal and business tax returns, management accounts, VAT returns, payroll and bookkeeping.
    • \n
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and support ongoing relationships.
    • \n
  • Ensure client work is completed accurately, efficiently and within commercial timescales.
    • \n
  • Complete VAT and PAYE registrations, bookkeeping software setups and maintain accurate client records.
    • \n

What you'll need

\n
    \n
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
    • \n
  • Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
    • \n
  • Experience preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, payroll or bookkeeping.
    • \n
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
    • \n
