Divisional Head of PartsPermanentHull - with travel across multi sites around the West Midlands Circa £70,000 + performance bonus and car Lead the Strategy. Drive Performance. Shape the Future. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive parts leader to join a large, multi-site vehicle solutions business as Divisional Head of Parts. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering the divisional parts strategy, driving commercial growth, enhancing operational performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across a complex national operation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and forming part of the divisional leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to influence business-wide decision-making whilst leading a high-performing parts function through its next phase of growth.The Opportunity This role goes far beyond traditional parts management. You'll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that improve profitability, optimise inventory performance, strengthen supplier partnerships, support vehicle uptime, and deliver outstanding customer outcomes across multiple locations. You'll combine commercial acumen, strategic thinking, operational excellence and strong leadership to ensure the parts division continues to perform at the highest level.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership\n

  • Develop and deliver the divisional parts strategy in line with wider business objectives

  • Provide leadership across multiple sites, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement

  • Drive operational excellence, efficiency initiatives and long-term growth plans

  • Act as the divisional expert for parts operations, inventory management and supply chain performance
  • \n
  • Contribute to business planning and strategic decision-making as a key member of the leadership team

Commercial & Financial Performance\n

  • Take ownership of divisional revenue, profitability and inventory investment
  • \n
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share, improve customer retention and grow parts sales
  • \n
  • Develop pricing, product and inventory strategies that support sustainable growth
  • \n
  • Monitor business performance and implement improvement plans where required
  • \n
  • Deliver against agreed budgets, forecasts and financial targets
  • \n
Inventory & Supply Chain Management\n
    \n
  • Develop effective inventory strategies that balance availability, customer demand and working capital
  • \n
  • Improve stock turn performance, inventory accuracy and obsolescence reduction
  • \n
  • Ensure parts availability supports operational efficiency and customer commitments
  • \n
  • Utilise data and forecasting tools to improve planning and supply chain performance
  • \n
Supplier & Stakeholder Management\n
    \n
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers and strategic partners
  • \n
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures and supplier performance expectations
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement across the supplier network
  • \n
  • Identify sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
  • \n
Leadership & Team Development\n

  • Lead, coach and develop senior parts leaders and management teams across the division
  • \n
  • Build succession plans and leadership capability for the future
  • \n
  • Drive engagement, accountability and high performance across the function
  • \n
  • Create an environment where collaboration, development and continuous learning are encouraged

About You We're looking for a commercially minded leader with extensive experience within automotive parts, aftermarket, fleet or vehicle solutions environments.You'll bring:\n

  • Significant experience leading multi-site or regional parts operations
  • \n
  • A proven track record of delivering commercial growth and operational improvement
  • \n
  • Strong financial and commercial management skills
  • \n
  • Expertise in inventory management, supply chain operations and procurement
  • \n
  • Experience managing OEM and supplier relationships at a strategic level
  • \n
  • Exceptional leadership and people development capabilities
  • \n
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
  • \n
  • The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business
