\nThe RoleAs a Management Accountant, you will be the financial backbone of our operations, delivering high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and decision-support to the Senior Leadership Team and site management. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring effective month-end closing processes, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with internal controls.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nMonthly Financial Reporting & Analysis
\nPrepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and other non-financial reporting).
\nDeliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
\nEnsure all financial outputs meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
\n\nBudgeting and Forecasting
\nAssist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
\nMonitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and providing clear explanations.
\n\nCost Control
\nExercise strict cost control and financial discipline across the business.
\nSupport and challenge Line Managers in managing and reducing costs effectively.
\n\nInventory / Stock Management
\nCoordinate, support, and participate in monthly and quarterly stock counts.
\nEnsure accurate stock valuation and investigate discrepancies as needed.
\n\nInternal Controls and Compliance
\nSupport the completion of internal financial controls in line with Group policies.
\nAssist in ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
\n\nBusiness Partnering
\nAct as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing financial insight and guidance.
\nProactively identify opportunities for process improvement and increased operational efficiency.
\n\nCandidate Requirements:
\nQualifications and Experience
\nPart-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA).
\nMinimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing finance role.
\nProven track record of delivering monthly accounts to tight deadlines.
\n\nTechnical Skills
\nStrong experience with ERP systems; SAP and Hyperion experience is desirable.
\nAdvanced Excel skills and overall systems capability.
\n\nPersonal Attributes and Competencies
