As the firm continues to expand, they are looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their busy Huddersfield office. The Role\nWorking closely with Managers and Partners, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. \n
- Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients. \n
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts. \n
- Completing personal tax returns. \n
- Preparing partnership accounts and tax returns. \n
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns. \n
- Carrying out bookkeeping using a range of cloud accounting software. \n
- Supporting clients with their accounting systems and software. \n
- Attending client meetings and building strong working relationships with business owners. \n
- Assisting in the training and development of junior team members. \n
- Supporting with company secretarial work, payroll and P11Ds where required. \n
The successful candidate will ideally have:

- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice. \n
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities. \n
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and personal taxation. \n
- Experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or IRIS would be advantageous. \n
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. \n
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively. \n
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service. \n
- AAT qualified, studying towards ACA or ACCA, or a relevant accounting degree with plans to continue your professional studies. \n
