We're recruiting for a Depot Manager to join a well-established equipment and materials handling business in Cranleigh,Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of a busy depot, overseeing people, processes, fleet management, and customer service while driving performance across the site.

As Depot Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the depot by:

\n
• Overseeing daily depot operations and workflow
\n
• Managing forklift fleet availability, servicing, and maintenance schedules
\n
• Supervising workshop, service, and depot teams
\n
• Planning and allocating resources to meet operational demands
\n
• Tracking performance, costs, and productivity targets
\n
• Maintaining accurate operational, maintenance, and inventory records
\n
• Working closely with sales, service, and logistics teams
\n
• Recruiting, training, and developing staff
\n
• Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction
\n

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Experience within the forklift, plant, HGV, or powered access sectors
\n
• A strong background as a manager within a depot, workshop, or operational environment
\n
• Previous experience in a leadership role such as a service manager or similar
\n
• A focus on customer service, safety, and operational excellence

• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
