Senior Bookkeeper

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Sage 50 knowledge looking for a flexible, part-time remote role?

Reed Accountancy is recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a well-established business within the construction and plant hire sector.

This is a permanent, fully remote position offering approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility required around month-end, VAT returns, year-end reporting and audit periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage 50
\n
• Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
\n
• Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
\n
• Managing online banking and payment runs
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Processing payroll and workplace pensions
\n
• Monitoring cashflow and producing reports
\n
• Preparing month-end journals and management information
\n
• Preparing year-end accounts to trial balance
\n
• Liaising with external accountants and supporting audits
\n

About You

\n
• Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping or finance experience
\n
• Strong Sage 50 experience is essential
\n
• Experience with VAT returns and HMRC compliance
\n
• Payroll and pension administration experience
\n
• Experience preparing month-end and year-end accounts
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Able to work independently in a remote environment
\n
