We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead a busy fleet operation in Wick. This role is ideal for a hands-on manager with strong fleet, compliance, and people management experience who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Manage the day-to-day operation of a large fleet of units and trailers.
\n
• Lead transport, network, and night teams, including 3 planners and 35–40 drivers.
\n
• Ensure compliance with operator licence requirements, vehicle maintenance, MOTs, and servicing schedules.
\n
• Monitor fleet performance, compliance, and KPIs using RHA systems or similar transport software.
\n
• Oversee driver recruitment, training, performance management, disciplinaries, and absence cover.
\n
• Drive operational efficiency, service delivery, and continuous improvement.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• International CPC qualification (essential).
\n
• Transport Manager CPC (preferred).
\n
• Previous experience managing fleets of trailers and units (essential).
\n
• Strong transport compliance and fleet management knowledge.
\n
• Experience managing drivers, planners, and operational teams.
\n
• Confident communicator who can challenge, motivate, and develop staff.
\n
• Class 1 licence or previous professional driving experience desirable.
\n
