We are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-focused Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based in Runcorn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation on a 9-month contract, with a strong possibility of a permanent role for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances
\n
• Carry out regular account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
\n
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers to encourage prompt payment
\n
• Conduct credit control activities including chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
\n
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and account status updates
\n
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve queries impacting payments
\n

Requirements

\n
• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance/customer-facing role is preferred
\n
• Strong numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
\n
• Confident communicator, able to handle payment discussions professionally while maintaining relationships
\n
