Financial Accountant (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: MatlockSalary: Up to £45k

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on behalf of a client in Darley Dale to recruit a Financial Accountant on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant looking to join a supportive finance team where you'll play a key role in financial reporting, forecasting and business partnering.

The role:

\n
• Produce consolidated management and statutory accounts
\n
• Prepare year-end accounts, VAT returns and other statutory reporting
\n
• Produce cash flow forecasts across multiple sites and currencies
\n
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
\n
• Oversee bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting
\n
• Act as the main contact for external auditors and banking relationships
\n
• Support inventory reporting, internal audits and financial controls
\n
• Work closely with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insights
\n
• Assist with reporting and financial modelling for new investments
\n
• Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting and data analysis
\n

About you:

\n
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
\n
• Strong Excel skills with confidence analysing financial data
\n
• Previous experience preparing management or financial accounts
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines
\n
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong communication skills
\n
