Director of FP&A | £125,000 + Bonus + Significant Exit-Based LTIP | Greater Manchester (Near Walkden)Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed business to appoint a Director of FP&A at a pivotal stage in its journey.With a clear value creation plan and a defined exit horizon, this is a rare opportunity to join the executive finance team in a role that will be instrumental in preparing the business for a successful transaction. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead the evolution of the FP&A function, providing the insight, rigour and commercial challenge required to support strategic decision-making and maximise shareholder value.This is far more than a traditional planning and analysis role. You'll play a key part in shaping the investment narrative, enhancing financial reporting, strengthening forecasting capability and ensuring the business is genuinely exit-ready.Key Responsibilities\n

  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A function.

  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • \n
  • Deliver insightful analysis to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • \n
  • Build board-quality reporting and KPI dashboards for investors and the executive team.
  • \n
  • Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting capability and financial controls.
  • \n
  • Partner with operational and commercial leaders to identify value creation opportunities.
  • \n
  • Support lender, investor and due diligence requirements throughout the exit process.
  • \n
  • Develop robust financial models, scenario planning and valuation analysis to underpin strategic initiatives.
  • \n
  • Play a central role in preparing the business for a successful private equity exit.
  • \n
About YouWe're looking for an ambitious finance leader who combines technical excellence with strong commercial acumen.You'll ideally be:\n

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • \n
  • An experienced FP&A leader operating at Head of FP&A, Director of FP&A or a similar senior commercial finance level.
  • \n
  • Comfortable working within a private equity-backed, fast-paced or transformational environment.
  • \n
  • Experienced in building sophisticated financial models and presenting complex information clearly.
  • \n
  • A confident business partner with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and investors.
  • \n
  • Exposure to transaction support, refinancing, acquisitions or exit readiness would be highly advantageous.
