Accounts Payable OfficerHybrid – Heston/Southall5-12month Maternity Contract£29,000 - £30,000paDepartment: FinanceReports To: Finance Manager / Financial ControllerJob Purpose To ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and payment transactions while maintaining strong financial controls and positive supplier relationships.Key Responsibilities\n

- Process and verify supplier invoices and ensure correct coding and approval. \n
- Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes as applicable. \n
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs. \n
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies. \n
- Maintain accurate vendor records and account details. \n
- Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner. \n
- Process employee expenses in line with company policies. \n
- Assist with month-end activities, including accruals and account reconciliations. \n
- Monitor outstanding balances and support cash flow management. \n
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and information. \n

- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant role. \n
- Good understanding of accounting principles and AP processes. \n
- Experience using ERP or finance systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). \n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. \n
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach. \n

- AAT qualification or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (desirable). \n
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English. \n
