\nLocation: Kings Hill, KentContract: Temporary (Approx. 3 Months+)Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
\nThe Role
\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team based in Kings Hill on a temporary basis for approximately three months, with the potential for the assignment to be extended.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong transactional accounting experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting month-end accounting processes.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Posting daily transactions from bank statements \n
- Performing weekly bank reconciliations \n
- Processing weekly supplier payment runs \n
- Reconciling sales and purchase ledgers \n
- Producing weekly sales and orders reports \n
- Processing and posting purchase ledger invoices \n
- Preparing monthly journals \n
- Assisting with the production of accounts to trial balance \n
- Undertaking general office and administrative duties as required \n
Additional Responsibilities
\nThe successful candidate will provide support and cover for the Group Financial Controller, including:

- Assisting with the production of management accounts \n
- Supporting the monthly payroll process \n
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns \n
- Maintaining holiday and sickness records \n
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management \n
Person Specification
\nThe ideal candidate will:
\n- \n
- Be highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively \n
- Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team \n
- Be conscientious and capable of prioritising tasks to meet deadlines \n
- Have a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving \n
- Have a minimum of two years' experience within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant position \n
- Ideally be part-qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualifications (desirable, not essential) \n
- Be a confident user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint \n
