Production Shift Manager

Production ManagerNottinghamShift based -days/afters/nights£50,000 - £55,000 + shift allowanceElevation Recruitment Group are excited to announce we are working exclusively with a global manufacturer of aerospace components to recruit a Production Manager based at their site in Nottingham.

Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will manage a team of approx. 20-30 skilled operatives operating a 3 shift pattern:

Mornings: 6.00 am – 2.12 pm Monday-Friday

Afternoons: 1.48 pm – 9.30 pm Monday-Thursday

1.48 pm – 7.00 pm Friday

Nights: 9.00 pm – 6.15 am Monday-Thursday

The Production Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are produced on time and within budget
\n
• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process
\n
• Develop strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs across production
\n
• Create reports detailing performance metrics related to production output, cost savings initiatives, etc
\n
• Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive out waste and increase productivity
\n
• Performance management of team, ensuring company values are embedded, accountability is understood and continually promoting a safety first culture
\n

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

\n
• Demonstrable management experience within a complex manufacturing business
\n
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and able to motivate and direct a team
\n
• Experience of deploying continuous improvement methodologies such as lean and six sigma, ideally with accreditation
\n
• Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads
\n
• Has a proven track record delivering improved operational performance in both favourable and unfavourable conditions, utilising cross-functional teams
\n
