Position: Grinder / Shunter OperativeLocation: SARVAL Ltd, HartshillReports to: Plant Operations ManagerContract: Full-time, PermanentShift Pattern: 12-hour Days and Nights (4 on 4 off)

About the RoleSARVAL Ltd, part of the SARIA Group, is seeking a reliable and motivated Grinder / Shunter Operative to join our operations team at our Hartshill site. This is a key role responsible for operating and maintaining the Grinding Plant, handling raw materials, and ensuring the efficient loading, transport, and dispatch of finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Grinding Plant and associated equipment.
\n
• Shunt and tip delivered raw materials from bulk trailers, skips, and collection vehicles.
\n
• Load and unload raw and finished products onto trailers and tankers.
\n
• Transport finished products to the on-site Meal Store.
\n
• Operate telehandlers and other plant vehicles as required.
\n
• Collect product samples for quality analysis.
\n
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
\n
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
\n
• Communicate effectively with management, production teams, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
\n
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the management team.
\n

Essential Requirements:

\n
• Full UK Driver’s Licence
\n
• Experience of manual handling
\n
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
\n
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to use initiative
\n
• Comfortable working shifts (days and nights) in all weather conditions
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Forklift Truck Licence
\n
• Previous experience with shunter driving or articulated vehicles
\n
