About the roleWorking within the Toolroom, you'll manufacture new tooling, maintain existing tooling and provide engineering support to production areas. You'll use a variety of machining equipment, including CNC machinery, to produce high-quality components and ensure tooling remains in optimum condition.Key responsibilities\n

• Manufacture new tooling and ancillary components
\n
• Maintain, repair and modify existing tooling
\n
• Operate CNC milling and turning machinery
\n
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications
\n
• Provide engineering support to production teams
\n
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
\n
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
\n

What we're looking for\n

\n
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
\n
• Proven experience within a machining, toolmaking or engineering environment
\n
• CNC machining experience
\n
• Milling and turning skills
\n
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\n
• Good communication skills
\n

Desirable:\n

\n
• Experience with Hurco and/or Fanuc control systems
\n
• Previous Toolmaking experience
\n
