Quality Engineer (18month FTC)

Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield as they look to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Working as part of a collaborative quality team, you'll play a key role in supporting customers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products meet the highest industry standards.

• Managing customer quality requirements and acting as a key quality contact.
\n
• Investigating non-conformances using structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D and 5 Whys.
\n
• Supporting internal, customer and third-party audits.
\n
• Driving continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve processes.
\n
• Reviewing quality data, analysing trends and implementing corrective actions.
\n
• Supporting new product introductions, including APQP, PPAP and FAIR activities where required.
\n
• Working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
\n
• Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
\n

• Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
\n
• Good understanding of quality management systems, ideally AS9100.
\n
• Experience of customer-facing quality activities.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience of quality tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis and FMEA.
\n
• Internal auditing experience would be advantageous.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
\n
