We are seeking an Interim Head Teacher to provide inspiring, professional, and purposeful leadership for a SEND residential school and college. This role is crucial in securing the long-term success of our institution through outstanding education, residential care, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will ensure that every student experiences a rich, ambitious, and inclusive learning environment that extends beyond the curriculum, promoting lifelong learning, independence, communication, health and wellbeing, personal interests, preparation for adulthood, employment, and active participation in their communities.
\nDay-to-Day of the Role:

- Inspire, challenge, motivate, and empower colleagues and students to achieve their potential. \n
- Work in partnership with Trustees, Governors, staff, parents, and the wider community to generate the ethos and values which will underpin the school and college. \n
- Create and implement a strategic plan, underpinned by sound financial planning, which identifies priorities for ensuring that students achieve high standards and make progress. \n
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school and college against that of other similar organisations and report outcomes to the Trustees and Governors. \n
- Ensure that management, finances, organisation, and administration of the school and college support its vision and aims. \n
- Establish and maintain an environment that promotes and secures high-quality teaching, effective learning, excellent residential practice, high standards of achievement, and positive behaviour. \n
- Lead and support the Residential Manager to ensure that all minimum standards are met and that the quality of residential care is continually improving. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably within residential education. \n
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to set and achieve long-term goals. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. \n
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of both self and institution. \n
- Knowledge of the legal framework set by Companies House, the Charity Commission, DfE, and other statutory bodies. \n
