Senior Delegated Authority Underwriter (Non Standard Motor)Hybrid – Chelmsford or London Circa £45,000 + benefitsIPS Group are working with a leading insurer to recruit an experienced Senior Delegated Authority Underwriter to join their growing team -This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of delegated authority schemes and help shape underwriting strategy within a non-standard motor portfolio.The Role:This is a little different to your regular Underwriting role as this role is Underwriting with some other elements of Pricing/ MI Analysis. You will play a key role in managing and developing delegated authority arrangements, working closely with underwriting and pricing teams to drive performance and innovation.Key responsibilities:\n

• Support development of underwriting strategy alongside pricing teams
\n
• Manage and review delegated authority scheme performance (monthly MI analysis)
\n
• Identify and assess new scheme opportunities
\n
• Monitor market trends, technology, data insights, and customer feedback
\n
• Maintain and update product specifications and rate charts
\n
• Ensure products remain competitive and compliant
\n
• Drive process improvements across products and functions
\n

About You\n

\n
• Proven experience in underwriting, product development, or a technical insurance role
\n
• Experience with delegated authority / schemes highly desirable
\n
• Strong data interpretation skills – able to identify risks and opportunities from MI
\n
• Good understanding of underwriting appetite and governance
\n
• Stakeholder and project management experience
\n
• Strong communication and presentation skills
