Job Description
Salary: £18 – £19.66 per hour (depending on qualifications )

- Overtime after 45 hours will be paid at £22.5 – £24.58ph \n
- Occasional Sundays or Bank Holidays will be paid at £27 – £29.49ph \n
- Exclusive use of a company van for work purposes. \n
Hours:
\n- \n
- 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm \n
- Alternative Saturdays 7am – 12pm paid at £22.5 – £24.58ph \n

What you will be doing:
\nYou will be working alongside other technicians to repair and maintain a fleet of HGVs and trailers, working out of the vehicle maintenance workshop.
\n- \n
- Trailer inspections and repairs \n
- Carry out PPM and/or fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailers \n
- Moffat inspections and repairs \n
- Hydraulic works on multiple types of units / trailers \n
- Electrical works on multiple types of units / trailers \n
- Work on bespoke “blower” trailers (including blowing equipment) \n
- Fault-finding and brake testing/braking systems \n
- Pre LOLER inspections to fleet, where applicable \n
- Some aspects of welding and fabricating \n
- Attend off-site breakdowns \n
What are we looking for?
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics and experience \n
- Good awareness of safe working practices / Health & Safety \n
Minimum :
\n- \n
- 4 years of experience on HGV Mechanic ( then we can offer to do IRTEK qualification ) \n
Desirable: IRTEK qualification, HGV licence, Autoelectric qualification, hydraulic qualification or experience
