\nWe are looking for an experienced Field Engineer with a strong background in motor engineering and claims. This role requires expertise in vehicle inspection, repair cost negotiation, and claims management, supporting both customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
\nYou will play a key role in assessing vehicle damage, providing valuations, and managing total loss settlements across a wide variety of vehicle types.
\n What will your day look like:Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Produce accurate, detailed, and high-quality engineering reports \n
- Assess, value, and negotiate vehicle repair costs \n
- Provide fair and accurate vehicle valuations \n
- Negotiate total loss settlements \n
- Apply detailed knowledge of salvage categories \n
- Manage claims through to resolution \n
- Liaise with repairers, customers, and internal teams \n
- Support colleagues and contribute to team success \n
Essential:Qualified to IAEA or ATA (VDA) standard
\n- \n
- Experience within insurer or independent engineering environment \n
- Strong understanding of claims processes and salvage categorisation \n
- Experience using estimating systems (e.g. Audatex, GT Motive, Glass’s) \n
- Ability to inspect a wide range of vehicles including: \n
- \n
- Cars \n
- HGVs \n
- Agricultural machinery \n
- Caravans \n
\n - Excellent negotiation and communication skills \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability \n
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills \n
