Business Rates Officer

Key Duties:

• Determine the correct liable party for Business Rates and Bid Levy in order for all required notices to be issued as soon as practicable.
\n

\n
• Ensure eligibility to any potential reliefs and exemptions.
\n

\n
• Provide high quality professional advice, guidance and support in respect of Business Rates or Bid Levy to customers and external partners.
\n

\n
• Assist in the review of reliefs and exemptions to maximise due to the council and identify and reduce incidences of fraud.
\n

\n
• To assist with the gathering of evidence prior to Liability Order Hearings.
\n

Requirements:

Experience of working as a Business Rates Officer

Experience of providing high quality professional advice, guidance and support

Experience of working within a local authority
