The Role

\n

Working closely with the Technical Manager, you'll take ownership of moulding operations across production shifts, ensuring Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing performance.

\n

Key responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Set and condition injection moulding tools for production
  • \n
  • Run moulding machines using established programmes and process parameters
  • \n
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer standards
  • \n
  • Diagnose machine faults and implement corrective actions
  • \n
  • Carry out routine maintenance and tooling fault-finding
  • \n
  • Support process improvement and troubleshooting initiatives
  • \n
  • Conduct quality inspections and maintain accurate records
  • \n
  • Prepare auxiliary equipment and production set-ups
  • \n
  • Use production systems (e.g. Blackbird / ERP systems)
  • \n
  • Assist with new tool trials and process optimisation
  • \n
  • Provide shift support/supervision when required
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping
  • \n

About You

\n

To succeed in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in injection moulding
  • \n
  • IMT Level 2 & 3 qualifications
  • \n
  • Strong machine setting and processing experience
  • \n
  • Experience with tool trials and process optimisation
  • \n
  • Mechanical fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge
  • \n
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • \n
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)
  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • \n
  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset
  • \n

Working Hours

Rotating shifts:

  • 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • \n
  • 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • \n
  • Occasional nights (premium paid)
  • \n

Note: Monday early shift starts at 4:30am
