\nDescription

- Prepare and review statutory accounts for UK entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. \n
- Support month-end and year-end reporting processes and maintain high-quality financial reporting. \n
- Manage corporate tax compliance, including tax returns, provisions, forecasting, group relief calculations, and tax reporting obligations. \n
- Support specialist tax matters such as CIR compliance, RDEC claims, and PAYE Settlement Agreements. \n
- Monitor UK tax legislation changes and assess their impact on the business. \n
- Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UK VAT and indirect tax requirements. \n
- Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities, supporting audits and resolving tax-related queries. \n
- Act as a key contact for external auditors, preparing audit documentation and reviewing tax computations. \n
- Ensure all statutory filing and tax compliance deadlines are met while supporting internal controls and governance initiatives. \n
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members within the statutory accounting team. \n
- Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation projects to enhance efficiency and controls. \n
Profile
\nA successful Tax Role professional should have:
\n- \n
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent) or qualified by experience. \n
- Strong background in both accounting and UK taxation. \n
- Experience with corporate tax compliance and tax provisioning. \n
- Good understanding of deferred tax accounting \n
- Experience preparing or reviewing VAT returns. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently \n
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members. \n
