5 axis setter operator CNC machining centre opportunity within this subcontract precision engineering company.

Key responsibilities* Set and operate 5-axis machining centres (Mazak Integrex and/or DMG Mori experience desirable)* Produce components to engineering drawings, specifications and tight tolerances* Select and set tooling and workholding equipment* Carry out in-process quality checks using standard measuring equipment* Work with a range of materials.* Complete basic machine alignments as required* Comply with Health & Safety requirements at all times* Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process

Skills & experience* Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level preferred)* Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC mills or machining centres in a precision engineering environment* Good understanding of control software.* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality* Able to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute positively to a team* Flexibility with working hours when required to meet customer deadlines
