Audit Manager

Your new companyAn exciting opportunity has arisen with a long-established independent accountancy and advisory practice that has built an outstanding reputation for providing high-quality audit, accounting and business advisory services to a diverse client base across Yorkshire and the North of England. The firm combines the personal approach of an independent practice with the breadth of service and technical expertise normally associated with much larger organisations.Following continued growth within the audit team, the firm is now seeking an experienced Audit Manager to play a key role in managing client relationships, leading audit assignments and supporting the development of junior team members.Your new roleAs Audit Manager, you will lead a varied portfolio of audit clients ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups across a range of sectors.Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of audit and assurance clients.
\n
• Planning, reviewing and completing audit assignments from start to finish.
\n
• Leading and developing audit teams, providing coaching and technical support.
\n
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients and identifying opportunities to provide additional value.
\n
• Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP and FRS 102.
\n
• Managing audit budgets, timelines and resource planning.
\n
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
\n
• Supporting partners with business development initiatives and networking activities.
\n
• Ensuring audit quality and compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified.
\n
• Previous experience managing audits within a UK accountancy practice.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
\n
• Experience managing and developing junior staff.
\n
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
\n
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
\n
