\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our clients growing team in Redhill. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys managing client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and delivering high-quality accounting services within a supportive and collaborative environment.
\nReporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients while playing a key role in supporting the development of junior staff and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Senior Accountant, you will:
\n- \n
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 clients across a variety of sectors \n
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders \n
- Produce management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax returns \n
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, delivering exceptional service \n
- Handle and resolve client queries promptly and professionally \n
- Support, coach and mentor junior members of the team, providing technical guidance \n
- Assist in overseeing junior team portfolios and reviewing work where required \n
- Ensure portfolio billing targets are achieved \n
- Maintain accurate client records and timesheets within CCH \n
- Deliver client work within agreed deadlines and service standards \n
- Identify and support new business opportunities \n
- Keep up to date with accounting regulations, software developments and industry changes \n
- Collaborate with colleagues across the practice to support overall business objectives \n
About You
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA, CGMA or CIMA qualification (fully or part-qualified) \n
- 2–5 years' experience within an accountancy practice \n
- Experience managing client relationships and handling a varied workload \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including accounts preparation, VAT and corporation tax \n
- Previous experience coaching, mentoring or supporting junior staff \n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n
- A collaborative and proactive approach \n
