\nPowder Coater required for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in the Wiltshire area.
\nThis position is responsible for preparing and powder coating a variety of metal components to a high-quality finish. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the coating process, ensuring products are prepared, coated and finished to company quality standards while working safely and efficiently within the production team.
\nDuties and responsibilities include preparing metal components for coating, operating powder coating equipment, inspecting finished products, maintaining equipment and ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
\nPowder Coater - Job Overview
\nPreparing metal components for the powder coating process, including cleaning, masking and surface preparation.
\nApplying powder coatings to a range of metal products using manual spray equipment.
\nEnsuring an even, high-quality finish that meets customer specifications.
\nLoading and unloading components onto the coating line and into curing ovens.
\nCarrying out quality inspections before and after coating to identify any defects or imperfections.
\nReworking products where required to maintain quality standards.
\nMaintaining powder coating equipment and ensuring the work area remains clean and organised.
\nWorking to daily production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
\nHandling materials safely and efficiently throughout the coating process.
\nWorking closely with production colleagues to ensure efficient workflow.
\nComplying with all company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures.
\nPowder Coater - Job Requirements
\nPrevious experience working as a Powder Coater within a metal manufacturing or engineering environment.
\nExperience preparing metal components for powder coating.
\nAbility to apply powder coatings to a consistently high standard.
\nGood understanding of coating processes and quality requirements.
\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
\nAbility to identify coating defects and carry out rework where required.
\nGood manual dexterity and practical skills.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a production team.
\nGood organisational skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
\nDesirable
\nExperience working with fabricated steel or sheet metal components.
\nExperience using curing ovens and powder coating plant equipment.
\nPrevious experience within a general engineering or manufacturing environment.
\nForklift Licence (advantageous but not essential).
\nQualifications
\nPrevious experience within a Powder Coater, Paint Sprayer or Surface Finishing position within the metal industry.
\nMetal manufacturing or engineering experience is essential.
\nFull UK Driving Licence beneficial.
\nPowder Coater - Salary & Benefits
\n\nSalary: £13.25 per hour (reviewed after successful completion of 3-month probation)
\n\nHours: Monday-Thursday, 07:00-17:15
\nFour-day working week
\n30-minute unpaid lunch break
\n15-minute paid break

\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping within the powder coating area.
\nReport any equipment faults, hazards or safety concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.
\nEnsure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
