Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for a clear £40,000 basic salary, sensible Monday-to-Friday hours and the option to earn more without committing to regular weekend work?

Paramount Garage Bluewater is looking for an experienced car or light commercial Vehicle Technician to join its established independent workshop in Greenhithe.

You must have at least four years’ recent hands-on garage experience covering servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis. MOT-qualified applicants are particularly welcome, although paid MOT training may be available for an experienced technician.

The role

You will carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and general workshop duties across a varied range of cars, vans and motorcycles.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs
\n
• Diagnosing faults and completing repair work
\n
• Working on brakes, suspension, clutches and other mechanical systems
\n
• Preparing vehicles for MOT
\n
• Carrying out MOT tests where qualified
\n
• Completing accurate workshop records
\n
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
\n
• Supporting the wider workshop team when required
\n

This is a varied role in a busy independent garage, giving you the opportunity to work across different vehicles and use your full technical experience.

What we are looking for

You should have:

• At least four years’ recent workshop experience
\n
• Strong hands-on servicing and repair experience
\n
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
\n
• Experience working on brakes, suspension, clutches and general mechanical repairs
\n
• A full UK driving licence
\n
• The right to work in the UK
\n
• A realistic commute to Greenhithe
\n
• A reliable and professional approach
\n

The standard working hours are:
