Senior Accountant
Job Description
Robert Half are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a highly successful international commodities trading business to recruit a Senior Accountant for their London finance team.

\nThis offers a broad remit across financial reporting, statutory reporting, treasury, controls, regulatory compliance and business partnering. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting the continued growth of the UK operation.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting under IFRS and internal performance reporting frameworks. \n
- Own month-end reporting activities and ensure accurate and timely financial information. \n
- Process and review sales and purchase invoices, supplier payments and banking activities. \n
- Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations and maintain strong cash management practices. \n
- Manage receivables and proactively monitor outstanding balances. \n
- Support statutory reporting requirements across UK entities. \n
- Prepare audit schedules and act as a key contact for both internal and external auditors. \n
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and financial controls. \n
- Support VAT returns and wider tax reporting obligations. \n
- Assist with treasury, liquidity management and regulatory reporting requirements. \n
- Partner with commercial teams, providing finance support on new products and business activities. \n
- Liaise with external stakeholders including banks, regulators and industry bodies. \n
- Drive continuous improvements across finance processes, systems and controls. \n
Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience of IFRS reporting. \n
- Previous experience within a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role. \n
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving commercial environment. \n
- Experience within energy, commodities, trading or another regulated industry would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
Salary & Benefits

- £80,000 - £90,000 base salary DOE. \n
