\n\nLooking for your next opportunity as a Coded Welder with expertise in both TIG and MIG Welding?
\nWe are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Weld Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of car bodies and sub-assemblies.

\nUmbrella Days £31.13 Afternoon £37.37
\n\nShifts:
\nDays: 6.30 am - 3.00pm (Mon - Thur) & 6.30 am - 12.00 (Friday)
\nBacks: 3.00 pm - 11.30pm Mon - Thur & 12.00 pm - 5.30pm (Friday)
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\n\n- \n
- Perform various welding and fabrication tasks, including coded welding, in accordance with WPS, SOPs, and associated documents. \n
- \n
- Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections, ensuring full accountability for weld quality and correcting issues to the required standard. \n
- \n
- Prepare weld surfaces, control weld equipment/consumables, and complete all necessary weld records. \n
- \n
- Support the team by designing and delivering training to colleagues, sharing knowledge, and deputizing for the Team Leader when required. \n
- \n
- Lead problem-solving activities, minimize waste, and participate in Kaizen and 5S improvement activities. \n
- \n
- Adhere to Health, Safety Environment procedures, ensure correct extraction is used, and maintain high standards of housekeeping. \n
Essential Skills and Qualifications
\n\n- \n
- Must hold a MIG or TIG coded qualification. \n
- \n
- Proven ability to perform coded welding to relevant standards in TIG or MIG. \n
- \n
- Ability to work unsupervised and make decisive, informed decisions. \n
- \n
- High level of accuracy, excellent dexterity, and good eyesight. \n
- \n
- Willingness to work flexibly, including shift work. \n
- \n
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver high-standard training to colleagues. \n
Desirable Extras
\n\n- \n
- Previous experience welding aluminium. \n
- \n
- Lifting qualifications. \n
- \n
- Train the Trainer qualification or relevant training experience. \n
