About the Role
\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a high-performing finance team within a well-established organisation. This position plays a key role in managing credit risk, driving cash collection, and supporting strong commercial relationships across the business.
\nThis role will initially be offered as a 3-month contract, with a strong opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end B2B credit control processes to maximise cash collection and minimise risk \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers \n
- Investigate and resolve complex credit issues, disputes, and overdue accounts \n
- Monitor customer accounts, credit limits, and risk profiles in line with company policy \n
- Produce and support reporting on aged debt, overdue balances, DSO, and cash flow \n
- Negotiate and implement payment plans in collaboration with sales teams \n
- Carry out account reconciliations and support allocation of cash receipts \n
- Issue statements, reminders, and dunning letters to customers \n
- Assist with invoicing, journal postings, and identifying discrepancies \n
- Support month-end processes and provide analysis where required \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Minimum 3 years’ recent experience working as a Credit Controller (essential) \n
- Proven recent experience in B2B credit control (essential) \n
- Strong understanding of credit risk management and collections processes \n
- Experience managing high-volume ledgers and complex accounts \n
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills \n
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail \n
- Confident working with finance systems and Excel \n
- Ability to build relationships across finance and commercial teams \n
Desirable

- Experience working in a shared service or large corporate environment \n
- Exposure to reporting metrics such as DSO and aged debt analysis \n
- Understanding of accounting principles and journal postings \n
