Lead Paediatric Nurse – Complex Care Location: Hybrid WorkingSalary: Up to £40,000 per annumJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per week About the Role As the Lead Paediatric Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for a caseload of children with complex medical needs, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered safely and effectively. Working within a hybrid model, you will balance clinical, operational, and leadership responsibilities, supporting care teams, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and liaising with multidisciplinary professionals and family members.   • Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality complex care services for children and young people.
  • \n
  • Conduct clinical assessments, reviews, and risk assessments.
  • \n
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
  • \n
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and training to care teams.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and clinical governance frameworks.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Participate in regular quality assurance audits and service improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Support with service development and contribute to the growth of the complex care division.
  • \n
Essential Requirements \n
    \n
  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RCN) with active NMC registration.
  • \n
  • Significant paediatric nursing experience.
  • \n
  • Previous experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs.
  • \n
  • Competency and hands-on experience with: \n
      \n
    • Tracheostomy care
    • \n
    • Ventilator management
    • \n
    • PEG feeding and enteral nutrition
    • \n
  • \n
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
  • \n
